Radar on yachts is mainly used for collision avoidance and therefore contributes to greater safety at sea, especially at night or in fog. However, it is only useful for skippers who are familiar with the principles, functions and limitations.

This radar seminar for sailors, yacht owners and motorboat drivers serves as an introduction and familiarization with the device. The content is compiled and taught in a very practice-oriented manner.

All course participants have the opportunity to operate a radar/plotter display unit. There are several original Raymarine 12" Axiom multi-functional display units available.

The seminar leader Peter G. Boot has several years of radar experience on the high seas with the British and South African merchant navy. Together with over 25 years experience in the radar industry, he combines his knowledge to present a very realistic and clearly understandable radar seminar.

This event takes place on the following dates:

09/25/2024, 10:30 am - 1:00 pm Konferenz-Zentrum West, Raum Schwarzwald
09/29/2024, 10:30 am - 1:00 pm Konferenz-Zentrum West, Raum Schwarzwald
