July 11, 2024

  • New theme areas and premieres in eight exhibition halls and the outdoor area, on the Fair Lake, and at the Interboot Marina
  • Many options for trying things out, and a varied program of presentations and shows
  • Revised ticketing system ensures more synergies with the InterDive diving and travel fair

Friedrichshafen – Experience the thrill of gliding across the water on a skimboard, marvel at luxurious dream boats, organize your next sailing adventure, or attend educational presentations: Interboot expertly stages the world of water sports and will bring a nautical ambiance to the Friedrichshafen exhibition grounds from September 25 to 29, 2024. Renowned exhibitors from the sailing and motorboat sectors have been successfully won back by the shortened duration of the event. “Beneteau will be at the start, as will Hanse, and the return of Hochmuth Bootsbau AG and SNG is particularly important for everyone,” says Project Manager Felix Klarmann. What’s more, the range of stands and attractions on offer will be broader this year. “There will be a new hall dedicated to towing vehicles and caravaning, the charter and tourism areas will be enhanced, and the Interboot Marina will be put to more extensive use,” Felix Klarmann continues. A novel ticket concept will also provide visitors with access to the diving and travel trade fair InterDive, which is taking place concurrently, with the purchase of their admission ticket for Interboot.

From September 25 to 29, the water sports industry’s latest trends and innovations will take center stage for five days across eight exhibition halls and the outdoor area, on the Fair Lake, and at the Interboot Marina. In addition to the exhibition of other popular boats, Hanse will be debuting its latest sailing yacht, the Hanse 360, at Friedrichshafen as a German premiere. Additionally, the lecture stage in the A3 sailing hall will be enhanced with an engaging program of presentations and various workshops. The Interboard A5 trend sports hall will feature a new water sports attraction and extended opening hours until 7 pm during the week. For the first time, we are introducing a new discounted afternoon ticket, priced at half off and available from Wednesday to Friday starting at 3 pm. On Wednesdays, we are also offering a special deal that allows you to get two tickets for the price of one.

Boat excursions, a water ski show, and workshops at the Interboot Marina

The Interboot Marina is currently undergoing expansion and can be visited free of charge. Anyone interested in making a watercraft purchase will have the opportunity to take a motorboat or sailing yacht out for a spin on Lake Constance to try it out. To enhance your understanding of mooring and casting off from land, consider taking a closer look at the Marina Maneuvering Fresh-Up hosted by the Interboot Academy. The Interboot Academy offers a wide range of lectures and seminars on all aspects of water sports as a hobby. A brand new Search and Rescue Seminar is also being offered. You will soon be able to register for such offerings on the Interboot website. Sailing excursions will be offered in partnership with the German Sailing Association (Deutscher Segler-Verband, DSV) and local sailing clubs. There will also be an emergency services day and water ski shows at the Interboot Marina.

Engaging and interactive program for young and old

Fans of foiling, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, and other trendy sports will gather in Hall A5. This year, you will be able to experience skimboarding for the first time in a special shallow water pool. Skimming involves riding a board on a thin film of water. Skilled skimboarders will also be regularly showcasing their skills on the “flat disk.” Those who enjoy a more relaxed pace in their sporting fun can choose to ride a long board and paddle about the expansive SUP demo pool. Additionally, a wide selection of accessories, clothing, water skis, and wakeboards will be available for purchase in the hall. There will be a program to watch and try things out in the outdoor area on the Fair Lake. You will be able to take kayaks, canoes, and sailing boats for a trial run. A wingfoil demonstration will take place several times per day as well.

Maritime Travel Market, caravaning, and Charter & Cruise Consulting Service

Various charter companies will be providing sailing and motorboat excursions to destinations around the world at the Maritime Travel Market. Here you will find a wealth of travel tips, inspiration, and valuable information to enhance your next trip. To get answers to any questions they might have, guests are welcome to reach out to the two specialists at the Charter & Cruise Consulting Service, Michael Amme and Juergen Strassburger. Michael Amme’s extensive travel experience as a sailing journalist allows him to provide comprehensive advice on the sailing sector. Juergen Strassburger is a recognized expert on the motorboat sector and possesses extensive knowledge of all the charter destinations for motorboats. The new towing vehicle and caravaning theme area will be showcased in Hall B4, bridging the gap to InterDive in Hall B5.

The entire realm of the underwater world

InterDive is one of the leading trade fairs for diving, snorkeling, and diving travel, held annually alongside the international water sports exhibition. Those who are interested in such topics will be able to stay informed on the latest trends and get advice from industry experts. Diving schools and diving centers will present their courses and training opportunities, while renowned manufacturers will exhibit their diving gear. From wetsuits and regulators to cutting-edge dive computers, here you will be able to discover a wide range of diving gear to ensure a safe and exhilarating underwater adventure. This year, there will be a combined ticket for both InterDive and Interboot for the first time. Felix Klarmann is thrilled with the exciting new synergies.
“In this way we are providing a platform that will enable boat enthusiasts and diving fans to come into contact with each other more easily and gain greater insight into other water sports activities.”

Suisse@Interboot: Traditional “Swiss Day” on Thursday

Each year, “Swiss Day” takes place on the Thursday of the fair and features unique activities, guests, and events. In 1962, the year Interboot was born, Swiss companies steeped in tradition helped to get the international water sports exhibition in Friedrichshafen off the ground in the first place. These companies are still closely associated with the trade fair to this very day. All Swiss nationals can attend the event free of charge on Swiss Day.
